Chan Ching Yee attended the CIBFM Conference on the Brunei Darussalam Islamic Capital Market (BICAM). The conference was organised by CIBFM and INCEIF, Malaysia, with the support of the Monetary Authority of Brunei Darussalam. An exciting lineup of local and international speakers talked about multiple topics, including

(i) Islamic Finance in ASEAN Capital Market Integration,

(ii) transforming regulations for a borderless market as well as sustainable development goals (SDG) and

(iii) socially responsible investments (SRI) relating to Islamic finance.

The conference also touched on building capital market capabilities of professionals in “a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) climate”; the green investments increasing global competition in sustainable business; and, lastly, the digital disruption in the Islamic Capital Market.
