Our Robin Cheok was called to the Brunei Bar in 1995. In the year 2000, he was appointed by the Chief Justice, Dato Paduka Sir Denys Robert to be a Commissioner for Oaths in Brunei. His appointment is gazetted in No. 496 – Commissioners for Oaths (Chapter 169) of the Brunei Darussalam Government Gazette. There is no enabling Notary Public act in Brunei. Notarial certifications are done by Magistrates.
